One stat that improved nicely, at least from the
standpoint of where the current market is compared to last year’s, was
that of total listings. There were 241 homes for sale in Brownsburg
in January. While this is 0.4 percent more compared to the previous
month, it is 11.4 percent less versus January of last year. By way of
comparison, there were 2.4 percent fewer homes for sale in Indianapolis, IN
in January compared to the previous month, and 17 percent fewer versus
January of 2010. Finally, there were on average 246 listings in Brownsburg Indiana
from November through January of this year, or 10.2 percent fewer,
compared to an average of 274 during this same period 1 year ago.
